In New York, a political movement operating under the banner of the DSA claims to stand for fairness and compassion. Politicians like Zohran Mamdani have built careers promoting this agenda. In reality, it is the same failed communist ideology, repackaged with softer language and better branding. More government control. Less freedom. Attacks on police. Punishment for success. I don’t need to guess where this road leads. I lived it. I grew up under communism, where the state controlled opportunity, hard work meant little, and freedom existed only on paper.
I came to America with little money, worked blue-collar jobs, built a business, and earned my future the hard way. That is precisely what this ideology, championed by politicians like Mamdani, works to dismantle. Staten Island and Brooklyn deserve leaders who understand the real consequences of these ideas, not activists experimenting with policies they will never have to live under themselves.
How I will vote in Albany:
- Against DSA-backed policies rooted in socialism and communism, like those promoted by Mamdani
- For individual freedom, free enterprise, and personal responsibility
- To stop dangerous ideologies from being imposed on our communities
